PJLA is a design studio for both the private and commercial sectors, working closely with clients to fulfil their brief from concept through construction. We believe in transparent communication with clients, stakeholders, design teams and contractors.

Landscape architecture has evolved to be much more than just the bits between buildings—delivering landscape proposals, treatments, solutions or research requires an inherent understanding of a range of disciplines, from construction methods to budget management and hard landscape materials to horticulture. Through experience within these disciplines, PJLA can highlight potential opportunities and limitations for you, enabling us to make well-informed design decisions together.

As a landscape architecture design studio, we’ve nearly done it all. We’ve designed, salvaged, taught, built, grown, planned, contracted, assessed, YouTube’d, and restored. PJLA’s symbiotic mix of practical and academic experience positions us as a reputable, informed partner who can work closely with local authorities, architects, developers, planners, contractors and designers to highlight potential opportunities and limitations of a project.

And while we are great at all things reality, and are really very practical, we also care deeply about retaining the beauty and poetry, or soul, of spaces.
